Randal Keith Orton Is for sure returning at Survivor Siers 2023 to seemingly team with Cody Rhodes and Company to face Mcintyre and the Judgement Day. But other than this being a worrisome problem for Jey Useo, Mcintyre and being a potential threat for Cody Rhodes himself down the line, given Orton's reputation of turning on his team and partners, it would be nice to see a different version of Orton emerge, maybe a version of the Viper that we have yet to see.
Since this very well could be his last run In his long and Illustrious career, I would think we are gonna see the best version of Orton yet. Though he has already had quite a few personas and monikers, a new version of Orton may show him to be more fierce and formidable than he has ever been.
Though it seems that he may be returning as a face, this could quickly change, and change as early as Survivor Series as the event may not go in the way that Cody or Drew intend because Orton still has legitimate reason to be at war with Drew and Jey for prior offenses.
And, if Cody were to ever capture the world title again, Orton would have no problem launching an attack on Cody and a as for champions, Orton holds that epic Wrestlemania victory over Rollins, so Orton has every reason to believe he can dethrone Rollins to become 15 time world champion inching closer to breaking Cena and Flair's reigns.
Orton has every reason to turn on Team Cody more so than the fighting the Judgement Day.
Adding Orton to this match sets up a dynamic in the overall landscape in the current storyline that just wasn’t there before. I couid see the match easily ending where Orton accidentally lays out Jey, Seth or Cody whereas Drew gets the final pin fall for the 3 count.
As mania quickly approaches, where will Orton fit into the card? Will it be a blood feud with Cody or Jey or will it be in the main event against Rollins. Or, may be he will completely switch gears and face Gunther for the IC title or even Reigns for the undisputed championship. I guess this will all depend of if CM Punk is actually slated for a return.
Wherever the return of Orton takes us, we are sure to be in for one hell of a ride.
